CBD Gummies Guide

A GUIDE TO GUMMIES 2020

Beginners of CBD are usually recommended to start with CBD gummies. Cannabidiol (CBD), is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. CBD interacts with an internal system known as the endocannabinoid system (ESC). It’s the ESC which is responsible for maintaining internal chemical synapses in our bodies.

The ESC is made up of receptors, and cannabinoids, such as CBD, bind with these receptors creating a chemical reaction.

There are several different forms of CBD available, but the CBD oil in most gummies comes from hemp plants and has been separated from THC and other cannabinoids. These products are labeled as “Zero THC” or “THC-free.” Many “first timers” prefer gummies over CBD oil and other forms because gummies are more enjoyable. They don’t have the distinct botanical flavor of CBD oil, and they’re easier to take.

However research has shown the effectiveness (know in the industry as “bioavailability”) of edibles is a bit different from oils and capsules, which have average bioavailability. Edibles take longer to take effect, whereas vaping or smoking CBD has the highest bioavailability, meaning the CBD will kick in faster, but may not last as long. There are ups and downs to every CBD product.

Most CBD gummies contain no detectable THC and are 3rd party laboratory-tested to ensure that you’re getting quality CBD gummies. CBD can take many forms.

A quick side note on this as well, you can do as you like but we highly recommend you staying away from gummies sold at gas stations and “head shops”, as they are rarely FULLY tested and sold at a fraction of the price to the shops, just to be premium priced, because they have “CBD!” in them.

Even CBD products being sold at mainstream stores such as CVS are average at best, but none the less a step towards progress.

Four important topics we will discuss are:

  1. Understanding what to expect
  2. Starting off slowly with CBD gummies
  3. Choosing the size to suit you

Take a look at these quick tips if you have never experienced CBD gummies.

1) Understanding what to expect

Remember, Broad Spectrum CBD gummies contain no THC, so no worries about THC entering your system. When you have CBD, most people simply report that they have an increased feeling of happiness and relaxation. What not to expect is to be sprawled out “couch-locked”. Not even with Full Spectrum CBD gummies that do have a bit of THC, as the federal limit is .3%, so you can eat 30 of them, and you will not get “high”, you may, however, be extremely relaxed and perhaps a bit tired from the calmness, but we don’t recommend eating all of them.

2) Start off slowly with CBD Gummies

Everyone is different, and everyone will react differently the first time they try CBD gummies. When you use gummies for the first time, it’s important to follow the instructions which the manufacturer recommends on the packet. If you feel like the effects weren’t strong enough, then try increasing the dosage slowly. If they were too strong, then decrease the dosage.

3) Choosing the size to suit you

The great thing about CBD gummies is it’s easy to eat one or two. Or simply cut a gummy in half if one gummy is too much, depending of course on the amount of CBD in each one. Like capsules, gummies can ensure your taking the spot on dosage you need.

When you’re choosing a CBD gummy, ensure that the company displays all its laboratory results. Remember to look for the FULL report, not just the “Cannabinoid Results” which is generally just one page long. You want to see a full report which also shows you any possible chemicals, soil results, and other microbial detection results. Remember, you are taking CBD for wellness, not to get sick.
